On From 1 January 1, 2023, Croatia embraced the euro, marking its entry as the 20th member of the euro area. The evaluations outlined in the 2022 convergence reports by the European Commission and the European Central Bank cleared the path for the euro area's first expansion since Lithuania's accession in 2015the euro will become the official currency of the Republic of Croatia and then the current currency of the kuna will cease to exist. This means that in all documents (including invoices) and all legal instruments issued, drawn up, and issued after the day of the euro introduction, the amounts must be stated in euros.
