How to Validate Polish JPK_V7 Files

Overview
Before the JPK_V7 files can be sent or shipped to Poland’s tax office, it must be validated and must conform with the JPK structure. The files can be validated by the free tools available on their site.

How to validate the JPK_V7 file
To validate the file using JPK WEB Client tool:
Go to the Polish government site for tax: https://www.podatki.gov.pl/;
Navigate to VAT > JPK_VAT z deklaracją or “JPK_VAT with Declaration” > Bezpłatne narzędzia or “Free Tools” > Klient JPK Web;
Click “Dodaj pliki” or Add Files;
Browse and select the file to add.
TIP: Before validating the file, it may help to use external applications first to make the XML file more readable like https://codebeautify.org/xmlviewer.
The file will be validated shortly. If there are no errors in the file, you should see the following status:
Status semantyczny dokumentu JPK (Semantic status of the JPK document) - this pertains to the correctness of the file structure if it adheres with the schema definitions.
Status merytoryczny dokumentu JPK (Substantive status of the JPK document) - this pertains to the correctness or validity of data in the file.
How to check the details and warnings
If there are issues with the file, the status columns should
Click the menu button below to open the details.
Click the Pobierz txt button to download the file in .txt format
Check the details of the error pertaining to the line.
