General Troubleshooting: Checking the script logs

This serves as a general guide to for troubleshooting errors or any unexpected behavior for any SuiteApp.

 Instructions

  1. Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New > Server Script Log

  2. Set a new Search Title

  3. Criteria > Standard:

Criteria

Reason

Date is on *when error/behavior occurred

Narrow down search results to a specific date

Script: Name starts with [STA]

Search for only Staria Script that ran

User is *user who triggered the error/behavior

Further narrow down the search results

You can remove the User filter if you are not getting any results or unsure who triggered the error/behavior

  1. Results > Sort by = Internal ID

  2. Results > Column:

Field

Reason

Script: Name

 Identify what script is executing

Title

 Helps with what is action is being performed

Time

 Identifier for when error/behavior occurred

Details

 Shows the logs for what is being executed

  1. Save & Run

  2. Click on the any of the Export icons below:

     

  3. Open the exported file and try to find the log corresponding to when the error/behavior occurred
